Marianas Eye Institute ophthalmologist Dr. Mark D. Robertson said community members have three more days to check out and buy artwork which will be exhibit until Saturday.
The prices range from $30 to $2,850.
“There are things here for everyone from people wanting to purchase a casual gift to people who are serious about obtaining excellent local art. By buying art, you can also support local artists, and help to save an endangered species,” Robertson told the Variety.
On exhibit in the reception area, lobby and hallways of the Marianas Eye Institute are the works of Benjamin Wood, Joe Weaver, Greg Elliott, Mark James, Leslie Ware, Susan Taylor, Norbert Garcia, Nhorleen Bitco, Michael Ernest, and Mark Robertson.
Robertson is inviting the community to join the reception at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday so they can interact with the artists who will be there to discuss their works and answer questions.
The exhibit is sponsored by the Turtle Advocate and Guardian Society, or TAGS, a group of local volunteers who want to ensure the survival of the endangered sea turtles. 20 percent of the proceeds from artwork sold will benefit TAGS and the rest will go to the artists.
Check out the artwork at the Marianas Eye Institute from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day. For more information, email [email protected] or call 235-9090.
