Nestor Camacho Taitano admitted violating two conditions while Jesse Mafnas Babauta denied violating all four conditions as stated by the Federal Probation Office.
Taitano is facing two years imprisonment while Babauta is facing a three-year jail term.
Taitano earlier admitted to the Federal Probation Office that he smoked marijuana and drank three cans of beer on June 5, 2010.
Babauta’s employer reported to the Federal Probation Office that the defendant broke into the accounting office, stole blank checks, forged his boss’s signature, and cashed the checks payable to himself.
Designated Judge Robert T. Bryan scheduled the next hearing for July 23 to continue the disposition on Taitano’s case, and to conduct a fact-finding hearing for Babauta.
Last November, Taitano was sentenced to 159 days, which he already served at the Department of Corrections facility, for conspiracy to utter counterfeit obligations and securities, and for uttering counterfeit obligations and securities.
Taitano was also placed under three years supervised release.
Last March, Babauta was sentenced to 120 days of weekend detention for mail fraud, and placed on three-year probation.
Attorney David Banes represented Taitano and Babauta.
Assistant U.S. Attorneys Kirk Schuler and James Benedetto represented the federal government.
Federal Probation Officer Melinda Brunson was also present during the hearing.
