THE Department of Public Safety on Sunday responded to a riot at Flamingo Tavern in Garapan, resulting in the arrest of two individuals. Two other individuals sustained injuries, DPS said.
According to DPS, the incident was reported to the police at around 11 p.m. on Aug. 25, 2024.
“Preliminary investigation revealed that the incident involved two groups who were at Flamingo,” DPS said. “An altercation that led to many people fighting resulted in one person receiving a puncture wound to the left area of his back and another with a laceration on his right hand. Injuries are non-life threatening and both persons were treated at [the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp.] and later released,” said Assistant Chief of Police Simon Manacop, DPS’ acting public information officer.
“Preliminary responding officers had arrested two other males for riot,” he added. “They were booked into the Department of Corrections. This incident remains under investigation.”
No other information about the incident and those involved were available as of press time Monday evening.
