UFO spearheads ‘Pistang Pinoy’ celebration

The traditional “Pistang Pinoy,” or “Filipino Feast” is celebrated yearly in the CNMI where free traditional Filipino food and live entertainment will be provided to the community.

UFO president Flor A. Miranda said various activities are scheduled for the event which is open not only for adults but children, too.

Gov. Benigno R. Fitial, Philippine Consul General Wildredo DL. Maximo and Saipan Mayor Juan B.Tudela are the guest speakers.

Miranda said this year’s event highlights a special game for the children called Kiddie Corner Tent.

She said the community will be treated to song numbers, folk dance numbers, performances from different bands and artists, magic shows, Saipan Singing Bee competition, “Pera o Bayong” and games where attractive prizes are at stake for the lucky winners.

“We are inviting everybody to join us on Sunday and be part of this traditional celebration,” Flores said.
