The manamko’ said the children’s performance was one of the best that they had seen and heard this holiday season.
“I was so excited,” Hocog said after his group performed six Christmas songs.
Remy Bowie and Carmen Khalequezaman, Aging Center personnel, said they were “amazed” by the performance.
While the children sang “Jingle Bells Rock,” some of them danced with the manamko’.
“The atmosphere was very lively. They really touched our hearts,” said Teresita Sorroza, Senior Citizens Advisory Council president.
She said she was “teary-eyed” while listening to the Christmas songs.
The children were led by Karen Alla, the choir director, and John Gimeno, the musical director.
The group yesterday also visited the House of Representative, KKMP radio station, McDonald’s, the Aqua Resort Club and the Pacific Islands Club.
These visits were part of their fundraising efforts, but at the Aging Center, the children performed to show their appreciation to the senior citizens.
Walter Manglona, the center’s program director, said last year the group surprised them with their talent, but yesterday they “just blew us away.”
