But the organizing committee is offering to sponsor two artists from Vanuatu to attend the festival which runs from July 20 to Aug. 2.
The Festival co-chair, Fagafaga Daniel Langkilde, said the committee was informed that due to lack of government support, Vanuatu had to cancel plans to send a delegation.
Fagafaga said they did not want any of the countries to miss out so it’s offering to pay for two people from Vanuatu.
He said the selection of the artists is up to Vanuatu.
The hosts have been hoping for the first time to have all 27 member countries of the Pacific Community attending the arts festival.
