Marianas Variety Operations Manager Salam C. Younis said they printed over 500 leaflets for the task force.
“We applaud his efforts,” Younis said, referring to Saipan and Northern Islands Municipal Council Chairman Ramon B. Camacho, one of the organizers of the task force.
Younis said the company is always willing to extend any effort that will help keep the community safe and clean.
“I am hoping that other businesses and villages will also support and participate in the task force,” he said.
Camacho, in a separate interview, said he had talked with Salam and Marianas Variety publisher Abed E. Younis about the Neighborhood Watch Task Force leaflets.
“They are very supportive,” he said.
Businesses continue to provide assistance to the program, he said, adding that some have donated empty drums that will be used as trash bins in the villages.
Other business establishments donated paint and banners, he said.
“We are also working with the Commonwealth Utilities Corp. for the donation of empty drums,” he said.
As part of the revitalization program, Ericco LLC of Saipan continues to coordinate with the municipal council in removing junk vehicles from public areas, he said.
