A WOMAN complained to police on Sunday that her former husband was physically and verbally abusing their two minor children.
The complainant requested for a temporary restraining order against her ex-husband, David Salvador Delavellano, saying that their children were constantly complaining about the abuse.
As of press time yesterday, the 41-year-old Delavellano had not been arrested.
The mother told the police that she brought her two children to their father’s house in San Vicente at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday and picked them up at 3:30 p.m.
The children told their mother that Delavellano slapped them and “said bad words to them.”
One child complained that their father held on to their arms and made them slap their faces and heads.
The victims also alleged that their father got mad because they forgot where to place their slippers properly.
The other child said that while he was sleeping inside the bedroom at his grandmother’s house, he fell off the bed, causing his father’s baby from another woman to cry. The child said his father immediately went inside the bedroom, slapped him on the face, cussed at him and told him to leave the room.
The other child said her father slapped her because she called her mother to pick her up and take her home.
Police have placed the complaint under further investigation.
