According to Department of Public Safety spokeswoman Lei Ogumoro, DPS received a call reporting the burglary and theft incident at 4:23 p.m. on March 15.
Ogumoro said preliminary investigation showed that the 37-year-old victim left her house at 12 noon to attend a party. When she returned at 4 p.m. she discovered that her house had been burglarized.
Ogumoro said police officers who responded to the scene discovered clothes and papers scattered on the floor of the victim’s bedroom.
The victim told police officers that she lost her money, a dark blue laptop and jewelry.
The burglars entered the house through the bedroom window, Ogumoro said.
She added that a backward-facing question mark was spray painted on the victim’s television screen.
A corner of the wall was spray painted in black with the word “PoPs”.
DPS is once again asking members of the community with any information about the incident to call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 234-7272. All calls are kept anonymous and no caller ID is used. A reward of up to $1,000 will be given for any information that leads to an arrest.
