Woman in ‘ice’ case to be sentenced in April

Diaz has been released to a third party custodian and is represented by attorney Michael Dotts.

Assistant U.S. Attorney James Benedetto is prosecuting the case.

After reviewing the plea agreement, Chief Judge Alex Munson accepted it.

Diaz pleaded guilty to one count of aiding and abetting possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

According to the federal government, Diaz, on March 17, 2009, “knowingly and intentionally aided and abetted in the possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute it.”

Diaz agreed to cooperate with the U.S. government, as well as with the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

DEA agents arrested Diaz and Jawn Joyner in October for “ice” trafficking.
