Woman in marriage fraud case waives speedy trial

Designated Judge David Wiseman set the jury trial for May 3, 2010.

Camacho and Crisanto Maderal Olivos were separately arrested on Guam and Saipan by federal agents for marriage fraud.

Camacho and Olivos were charged with one count each of conspiracy to defraud the United States, and to commit immigration document fraud.

They both denied the charges and are both out on bail.

Camacho is being represented by court-appointed attorney Robert Torres.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Kirk Schuler is prosecuting the case.

Change of third party

In other news, Jawn Joyner’s lawyer and the U.S. Attorney’s Office have stipulated in federal court the substitution of the defendant’s third party custodian.

Joyner’s current third party custodians are Aurelia Kretzer and Delgadina A. Asuncion.

Max Kretzer, husband of Aurelia, was named as substitute until after the return of his wife and Asuncion from Hawaii on Feb. 18, 2010.

Aurelia and Asuncion are scheduled to leave for Hawaii today to be with a family member who must undergo a major surgical operation.

Joyner’s lawyer is Bruce Berline while Assistant U.S. Attorney James Benedetto prosecuted the case.

Joyner, who is waiting for his sentencing, has signed a plea agreement, pleading guilty to three counts of “ice” trafficking.
