A WOMAN was robbed by two men on her way home after she withdrew money from a bank in Susupe on Wednesday morning.
Zhnag Ming, 35, suffered minor bruise under her right arm and a lump on the head, according to the police.
Police said the suspects managed to run away with Zhang’s purse containing a few hundred dollars, her passport, a Chinese white card, her bank book, and identification cards.
According to Department of Public Safety spokesman Pete C. Muna, the victim stated that she was walking to her home after withdrawing money from Bank of Hawaii.
Zhang said before she reached the Joeten barracks’ entrance gate along Texas Road in Susupe, a car drove slowly beside her from behind. One of two suspects opened the passenger door and struck Zhang’s back from behind, causing her to fall to the ground.
The suspects then tried to snatch her purse. During the ensuing struggle, the suspects punched the victim on the head.
After getting her purse, the robbers got into a vehicle and fled.
The victim said she was “very scared” that she did not notice the suspects’ faces. She refused medical treatment.
