The artists used different materials in creating works of art — yarn, beads, photography, acrylic, water color — and in fashioning assorted crafts, charms, beads and necklaces.
Among the exhibitors are Quian M. Lieberman, Beverly Batagilla, Jung Ae Lee, Anna Pery, Connie Cabrera, Cherry Camigla, Jacqueline Hernandez, Jeanne Rayphand, Florencia Seaman, Jessica Borja, Josephine Niro and Lucia Ayuyu.
The art exhibit, according to Mona Rebuenog of the Arts Council in an earlier interview, gives the women artists a chance to exhibit or sell their artwork.
“Every year, this art exhibit is open for women of all ages and nationalities in the CNMI,” she said.
The art exhibit aims to “provide experience, enhancement, promotion and recognition for all women who posses artistic talents, interests and knowledge”
The exhibit is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Rebuenog said another art exhibit is slated toward the end of the year but it is open for all artists, not just women.
This year’s art exhibit coordinators are Lucio Ayuyu and Parker Yobei.
