The department, in partnership with the Waab Community Centers, conducted free screenings for early cancer detection, pre-diabetes, pre hypertensive conditions, and above all, screening for general wellness status.
Those who participated in the free clinics were able to obtain their test results on the same day on other types of screening such as vital signs-blood pressure check, pulse, weight, body mass index, blood tests-random blood sugar levels and hemoglobin counts.
Each of the 336 participants was provided a screening result form to take home for their own information.
Other test results such as STI, and cancer screening tests were sent off-island for test result confirmation, and will be provided to the participants in 3 to 4 weeks time.
