After hours of deliberations, the council approved 158 awards to students studying at colleges and universities throughout the Asia-Pacific Region, and across the U.S. mainland.
The semester awards totaled some $266,000.
The selection of award takes into account, among other criteria, overall academic performance of a student, his or her financial needs, and the field of study.
The council congratulates those who through due diligence and unyielding dedication, have decided to pursue post-secondary education abroad.
