Gov. Sebastian Anefal has proclaimed it a national holiday.
The FSM Veterans of Foreign Wars Day pays tribute to the men and women of Yap and the Federates States of Micronesia, who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. armed forces.
Anefal said all state government offices, except those which by nature of their duties and responsibilities should remain open, will be closed for business on that day.
