Duane Duenas and May Mafnas have started working last week while the new administrator, Victor Barrett, is expected to arrive on Monday, Zoning Board Chairman Henry S. Hofschneider said.
He said the two new staffers will help expedite the review of applications and the processing of permits.
The new staffers will also help in enforcement, inspection and other functions related to zoning.
Aside from assisting clients, the new zoning team will also reaching out to the community to educate them further about the new zoning law, Hofschneider said.
He added that they are now busy inspecting business establishments that have been required to change their signs and façade appearance.
Hofschneider said the board will hold a special meeting next week to discuss, among other things, conditional use applications.
He invites members of the community to attend the meeting and express whatever concerns they may have.
