A GRAND jury has indicted Diosdado Mallari Garcia on the charge of unlawfully producing an identification document — a CNMI driver’s license.
According to the indictment, on or about Dec. 12, 2017, Garcia “knowingly and intentionally conspired and agreed with an individual identified herein as B.S. to commit an offense against the United States: specifically, to knowingly and without lawful authority produce an identification document, namely, a CNMI driver’s license…in violation of Title 2 18, United States Code, Sections 1028(a)(1), (b)(l)(A)(ii), (c)(3)(A) & (f).”
The indictment did not state why Garcia was charged almost four years after the alleged violation of the law.
Garcia was served with a summons on July 12 and must appear before the federal court to answer the charge on July 22 at 9 a.m.
No other information about the defendant or the case was available as of press time Tuesday evening.
