THE Department of Public Safety-Drug Enforcement Task Force has identified Jian Hao Yang as the individual who sold methamphetamine to an informer during two buy-walk operations.
Escorted by a Corrections officer, Jian Hao Yang enters the Guma Hustisia on Friday morning for a bail hearing.
DPS-DETF said it recovered 12.1 gross grams of meth from Yang.
DPS-DETF likewise executed a search warrant at the residence of Yang that was signed by Superior Court Judge Joseph N. Camacho, resulting in the confiscation of about 3.3 gross grams of methamphetamines, and “a large sum of U.S. currency.”
Yang, 40, was charged with trafficking and possession of a controlled substance. On Friday, he appeared before Judge Camacho who imposed a $100,000 cash bail on the defendant.
Yang was represented by Assistant Public Defender Tyler Scott while Assistant Attorney General Carmen Borja appeared for the government.
Through an interpreter, Yang told the court that he is unemployed but has been “doing odd construction jobs.”
After the hearing, Yang was remanded to the custody of the Department of Corrections and was ordered to return to court for a preliminary hearing on Nov. 23 at 10 a.m., and for an arraignment on Nov. 28 at 9 a.m.
