The suspect was identified as Mohammad Nahid Chowdury.
Chowdury was arrested for theft for stealing goods from the establishment.Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon said that the incident was reported to the police on April 30 at 3:50 pm.Police responded to the scene and arrested the suspect.The stolen items were also recovered and were returned to the personnel of Sure Save.Meanwhile, a theft incident at the Mindzenty High School was also reported to the police on April 30.Cash amounting to over $400 and a digital camera were stolen from the school.A woman also called on April 29 and reported that their government vehicle which was parked in front of the Land Survey office was drained with a gas fuel.A man called on May 1 and reported that someone went to his vehicle parked in front of WCTC barracks in Malakal and stole two speakers.An unknown caller also reported to police on May 1 that someone went to his room in Ngerbeched and stole his play station box.The PMA sign in Airai was also vandalized on May 3.The suspect used spray paint to vandalize the sign.Meanwhile two men were also arrested on Sunday for malicious mischief and drunk and disorderly conduct.Reagan “Nao” Lemei, 28 and Augusto Osilek, 46, were arrested on May 1 and May 3 for offenses.Lemei was arrested for damaging a water tank at a residence in Topside while Osilek was arrested for causing disturbance in topside.Aguon added that police issued citation to a nighclub in Meyuns for not complying the no selling of alcohol after 2 am.The citation was issued on May 3 after authorities caught the establishment selling alcohol after 2 am.
