SUPERIOR Court Associate Judge Theresa Kim-Tenorio imposed a $50,000 cash bail on Pedro Luis Demapan, who was charged with sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree, indecent exposure, and disturbing the peace.
Police said Demapan touched a minor inappropriately while she was asleep.
On Sept. 7, 2021, at around 12:40 a.m., the Department of Public Safety said it received a call about a sexual abuse of a minor case.
The minor told police that Demapan had sexually abused her in the past and the most recent was when she was asleep.
The victim stated that this occurred while her mother and siblings were at the store purchasing snacks for movie night.
The victim also stated that Demapan would ask her to mix drinks for him and touch himself as she gave him the beverage.
On Sept. 17, 2021, Judge Kim-Tenorio signed an arrest warrant against Demapan who was taken into custody by the police on the same day.
