Man hits police patrol arrested

The man was identified as Takashi Baba.

According to police report, at around 1:15 a.m. on Sept. 22 Baba was veering on the road while driving his vehicle, police tried to stop him in front of PDC building. But the driver refused to yield until he hit the police vehicle in front of Best Mart Store.

Police immediately arrested Baba and brought him to police station. He underwent FST test and he failed. He then agrees to take the breathalyzer test. While performing breathalyzer test, suspect failed to follow instruction prompting the police officers to book and confine him at the Koror Jail.

The police vehicle incurred damage on its left rear bumper.

Meanwhile, another female driver was cited for reckless and negligent driving after her driven car collided into two vehicles on Monday near the residence of Chief Justice Arthur Ngirakelsong.

Police investigation shows, Abigail Esebei, adult female-Palauan was driving speedy heading to westbound direction with her 1995 Nissan Pulsar 4dr Sedan 0202 Ngardmau when she failed to stop at the traffic.

Esebie bumped her car into Green /Tan Mitsubishi Delican Van 3724 Airai driven by Julius Skebong. And the van also hit the 1994 White Isuzu Journey Bus 2k 5188.

The Sedan incurred damages on its frond hood, bumper and radiator while the Delica van damaged its rear end and signal lights, front guard rail, signal lights and hood. While the bus driven by Imran Mohammad also destroyed its rear end.

Police cited Esebie and released afterwards.
