The court ordered Vilalee Francis to stay away from the woman’s residence and her work place while he is out of custody.
Francis was released from custody on April 30. He appeared in court and entered a not guilty plea to his charge assault and battery.Francis was also ordered to obey all laws and not to leave Palau without the court’s permission.He was charged for punching and slapping the victim on April 27 and 28.The police affidavit submitted in court stated that Francis on April 27 punched the victim’s chest and slapped her in the head.The defendant then grabbed the victim and threw her on the bed and hit her face with his right knee.The affidavit further stated that defendant threatened to break the victim’s head and poke her eyes out.The affidavit stated that on April 28, the victim was again assaulted by the defendant.The document stated that Francis hit the victim’s forehead with a hard object then walked to his car and got his machete and walked towards the victim and swung the machete at her.The court document added that the victim managed to run away. She proceeded to the police station and reported the incident to the police.The affidavit stated that victim sustained injuries and bruise on her forehead.
