HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — A man is asking for the community’s assistance to find a white truck that hit his vehicle with his 6-month-old daughter and 3-year-old son inside, and then fled the scene.
About 10:15 p.m. Wednesday, Roy Taimanglo was driving with his wife, his 6-month-old daughter and his 3-year-old son when they were hit by a white truck on Alageta Street outside Tanota Gardens in Dededo.
Taimanglo, the driver of the car, told The Guam Daily Post he was turning into Tanota Gardens from Alageta Street when the white truck that was turning onto Alageta Street “T-boned,” or collided with the driver’s side door of Taimanglo’s car.
Taimanglo confirmed his car was totaled as a result of the crash.
Taimanglo explained that after being hit, he was “pinned in” and was unable to find anything to identify the vehicle, such as a license plate number. The white truck, after the collision, subsequently drove toward Macheche Road.
Taimanglo, however, said he was able to see the driver’s side door of the truck was a different color.
Fortunately, Taimanglo and his family came out of the crash without injury, as the airbags in the car deployed, but they are asking for the community’s assistance in finding the driver who fled the scene.
Taimanglo reported the incident to the Guam Police Department, which generated a case number and checked on the family and directed traffic after the crash.
Anyone with information regarding the incident can contact Taimanglo at 671-587-5768.
