HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — A 30-year-old man is being sought by police in connection to several reports of thefts and burglaries.
On Wednesday the Guam Police Department issued a wanted person flyer for Alcander Salas, also known as “Can” and “Kander.”
The flyer states Salas is “wanted for questioning relative to several reports of theft of property, burglaries and motor vehicle theft occurring in the northern area of Guam.”
Salas was last seen in the Lada area of Dededo, resides on Adora Street and is known to roam about the NCS and Pagat areas. He is 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighs between 140 and 150 pounds, according to GPD.
Police said Salas has a turtle tattoo covering his left chest along with a tattoo of a “half Jesus and half demon” face on his right shoulder.
Salas has been known to flee once spotted by police so GPD urged the community to not approach him and contact police as soon as possible and take note of the vehicle used or direction of travel.
If located, call any investigator assigned to the Property Crimes Unit via GPD dispatch at 671-475-8473.
Record
The flyer issued by GPD also indicates Salas has a warrant for his arrest in a 2018 restitution case.
According to prison records, Salas was last confined at the Department of Corrections in March 2021 in the restitution case and was released two days later.
Salas’ record also shows he was previously charged in the Superior Court of Guam with felony charges in 2011 and 2013. The initial charges in the 2013 case were burglary, crimes against the community, jurisdiction over an adult and theft by deception. The 2011 case involved charges of burglary, conspiracy, guilt by complicity, crimes against the community, criminal facilitation and one count of jurisdiction over an adult, prison records show.
