MARCELINO “Max” Aguon was named Division of Parks and Recreation 2022 Employee of the Year as part of the Department of Lands and Natural Resources Public Service Employee Recognition ceremony.
Also recognized at the event were Division of Land and Survey Employee of the Year Rasha Camacho, and Sesarina K. Rasiang, who received the Leadership Award.
The Division of Fish and Wildlife Employee of the Year was Zachary Dela Cruz while the Division of Agriculture Employee of the Year was Frank S. Ada.
Max Aguon, who has been working for Parks and Recreation for 12 years now, told Variety that this is his first time to receive the Employee of the Year Award for his division.
“I am happy and proud that they selected me to receive this award,” Aguon said.
Aguon is a well-known community volunteer who has received many commendations and awards for conducting regular cleanups at Sugar Dock, other beach sites and public areas on island.
