May is NMI Crime Stoppers Month

On Tuesday morning, acting Gov, David M. Apatang, joined by Department of Public Safety Commissioner Clement R. Bermudes, NMI Crime Stoppers Chairman Brian Clayton, and members of DPS and NMI Crime Stoppers, proclaimed the month of May as NMI Crime Stoppers Month. The purpose of the NMI Crime Stoppers Program is to bring together members of the community and DPS by providing anonymous tips about crimes that occur in our Commonwealth. This partnership has resulted in over 2,140 tips, 304 arrests, the recovery of $298,233.00 in stolen property, and the seizure of nearly $2,727,575.00 worth of illegal narcotics. Acting Governor Apatang thanked DPS and NMI Crime Stoppers for their continued work in keeping our community safe and asked the community to promote public safety and crime prevention.”
