Prior to the release of the draft report, a public forum on the findings and recommendations to date is set on June 25.The MTDS will establish priorities, policies, institutions and practical actions to address these priorities.The process of preparing the MTDS will support from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) in September 2007 and under the Presidential Directive a project steering committee was established which comprises of representatives of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Resources of Development, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Education and the Office of the President as well as representatives of the Governor’s Association, the Chamber of Commerce and the Alliance of Non-State actors.The committee has been meeting regularly to supervise and guide the work of the FEIM team.The public forum will be sponsored by ADB and wants the community to get involved in the formulation of policies and actions for achieving sustainable development.The community is also welcome to make comments and provide inputs on the recommendations that have been prepared for Palau.The event will be taking place in Ngarachamayong Cultural Center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.The MTDS will be designed to be flexible to address changing priorities and gaps or weaknesses.
