The two were identified as: Oscar Omelau, 58 years old and Julius Echang, 60 years old.
Omelau sustained injuries on his face and right leg, while Echang sustained lacerations on his forehead, back of head and left arm.
Police investigation showed, Omelau was caught staring at Echang while the two were in front of the store. The latter got irritated and punched Omelau on his chest and struck his leg with the use of a metal pipe. Echang fought back using a short blade machete and attacked Omelau which caused laceration on his body.
Both were transported to the hospital for treatment. Case is still under investigation.
Meanwhile, a man was also injured after he was assaulted while drinking at the Techemding, Ikelau.
The victim identified as Ralph Isaac while the suspect was identified as Dickson Sikong.
Police investigation showed the victim was drinking alone when the suspect appeared and punched Isaac using a rebar.
The victim sustained injuries on his head, face and other parts of his body. The suspect meanwhile immediately fled the area.
Charges of assault and battery with dangerous weapon are now being prepared against the suspect.
