According to report at around 2:40 p.m. on Oct 1, off-duty officer Kumangai called and reported some boys smoking weeds at the stadium.
Officers Worswick and Kemesong responded in the area and escorted a male suspect to police office. While police frisking the suspect they found three-joint of marijuana inside a green container and $15 from him.
The 17-year-old suspect was booked and confined. The case was forwarded to the Narcotics officers for further investigation.
It can be recalled that after the Division of Drug Enforcement confiscated thousands of marijuana plants in their series of operations in Peleliu State in July, cases of possession of marijuana were also stopped. No cases of illegal drug have been reported to the police.
According to the DDE, Peleliu State has the biggest marijuana plantation among other States.This illegal drug was allegedly distributed to the Koror State and the entire Republic.
The confiscated marijuana has a market value of $128,500.
