Missing woman returns home

HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — A 24-year-old woman returned home after last being seen in late December 2023.

Sometime before 9 p.m. Thursday, Betty Katsuta, 24, was located in the Tumon area, according to Guam Police Department spokesperson Officer Berlyn Savella.

The relocating of Katsuta comes a little more than two weeks after GPD issued a missing person flyer seeking assistance from the community in finding Katsuta, who was last seen on Dec. 21, 2023, at her residence in Yigo. GPD issued the flyer Jan. 11.

Katsuta was officially reported missing on Dec. 23, 2023, after her family exhausted efforts to find Katsuta. GPD then continued to search areas Katsuta was known to frequent and make checks on reported sightings.

Savella said Katsuta, “is well without incident” and returned home to her family.
