Moving towards uniting Bangladesh workers

Amin said that disputes among varying groups of Bangladesh workers regarding the best direction to take in order to establish good working relationships between the workers their employers and the people of Palau have resulted in a break of unity among the Bangladesh workers.

In an interview with Amin yesterday, he said that his group has opted to argue with the other Bangladesh group of workers.“I have come to the conclusion that I need to make sure that my people’s welfare is looked after,” he said. “I do not have the time nor the energy to debate issues that have no bearing on my peoples status in Palau.’Amin further added that his organization’s door is open for all Bangladesh citizens in Palau; he further added, that he and his organization will support any other established Bangladesh groups.“All Bangladesh workers in Palau must unite, one way or another,” he said. “I will make every effort to ensure that future disputes are snuffed even before they start.”Amin further added that his group began one of its public relation activities last month – Koror State volunteer clean-up activity.“We had to start somewhere and we had very limited options,” Amin said. “We will continue this particular activity at the end of every month.  In due time, we would hopefully be able to extend our volunteer services to other states in Palau.”Amin further commented that he does not want to pose a challenge to other Bangladesh workers group; however, he hopes they join in the challenge “to create and implement a good work relations for the Bangladesh workers with the people who employ them and members of the communities they work in.”
