New siren installed at the police station

The acquisition of the siren is funded by the United States Center for Disease Control and Prevention through the Ministry of Health.The siren is an all-hazard warning system and will be operated and maintained by the Office of the Vice President.The system is said to have the capability of reaching a radius of three to five miles and warns the public in the event of an emergency and disaster.The siren has the ability to sound off three different tones  and because of this the public will be educated  on what these different tones signify.Presently the community informed by authorities of impending threat or danger through radio stations and televisions and with the new siren , people have a greater opportunities to take life-saving actions and or lessen injuries and other damaging effect of emergencies or disasters.
