Ngiraingas, Minister of Public Infrastructure, Commerce and Industries said that Palau is a member is several organizations which involved maritime, transportation, and trade.
The minister admitted that he has been out of the country for a total of 30 days since he assumed the ministry position.“I need to be in these meetings to orient myself and what could be the benefits to Palau,” he said.He added that if he thinks that Palau might not benefit from these regional organizations then he would recommend that the country cease from attending these meetings.He also added that most of these meetings are funded by the organizations not by the Palau government.
