Northern Marianas College President Galvin Deleon Guerrero, EdD, gave the keynote address for the Saipan Chamber of Commerce Economic Forum on Wednesday and advocated for building intellectual capital in the CNMI. These include accelerated cohort-based programs with experiential-based credits and interdisciplinary courses; increasing academic research capacity; and investing in the reskilling and upskilling the workforce through NMC’s Community Development Institute. Deleon Guerrero also emphasized the college’s commitment to cultivating entrepreneurship and business growth through the CNMI Small Business Development Center while harnessing agricultural and aquacultural programs at NMC’s Cooperative Research, Extension and Education Services to diversify food industries and increase food security in the Commonwealth.
