No injuries in 1-car crash in Piti

HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — There were no injuries from a single-car crash on Thursday evening in Piti, according to government officials.

A photo circulating on social media Thursday evening showed the scene of a car crash in Piti.

The Guam Daily Post subsequently contacted the Port Authority of Guam, which responded to the traffic crash.

Port police officers responded to the incident involving one car at 8:08 p.m. Thursday, Port General Manager Rory Respicio reported in a statement.

“The investigation revealed that the driver was traveling southbound on Route 1 in Piti when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a guardrail near the intersection of Route 1 and Route 11,” Respicio said in the statement.

“There were no injuries reported,” Respicio added.
