HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — About a week after helping the Father Duenas Memorial School Friars win the basketball championship, big man Noah Tenorio on Friday was named the Independent Interscholastic Athletic Association of Guam most valuable player and selected to the first team.
Tenorio’s powerful drives to the hole, ability to knock down 3-pointers and leadership ability made him the odds on favorite for MVP.
Joining Tenorio on the first team are FD’s Jamel “Melo” Romero, Harvest Christian Academy Eagles’ Keanu Anderson, St. Paul Christian School Warriors’ Raven Pascual and Guam High School Panthers’ Cameron Brantley.
Second team selections included Notre Dame High School Royals’ Rico Taitague, Rayne Cornelius and Dracyn Paet, Guam High’s Aaron Johnson and St. John’s School Knights’ Tristan Hahn.
The following student-athletes received honorable mention: St. Paul’s Michael Bork, FD’s Noah Cruz and Colin Baker, SJS’ Ryan Chan, Harvest’s Donggeon Lee, and Guam High’s Jaydyn Newell.
Noah Tenorio appears at the free throw line in the IIAAG boys varsity championship game against the Guam High School Panthers at UOG March 8, 2024. Tenorio has been named the 2023-2024 IIAAG MVP.
