The Palau delegation includes three members of the MYSN Board of Directors: Jennifer Anson (Vice President), Alan Marbou (Vice President), and Kenny Reklai (member). Also included in Palau’s delegation are Koror State Youth Division members Ivan Blesam, El’zeder Eledui, Apol Adelbai, Gino Smau, Lamp Minor, and Kumangai Maech. Vann Isaac, Ngelechel Etpison, and Violet Fernando are attending on behalf of the Koror State Youth Council. Delegates from the 8th Koror State Legislature and Treasury include Wilson Ngirausui, Vanessa Salii, Joanne Nakamura and Exely Yaoch. Wridon Ngiralmau is representing Aimeliik Youth Association. Palau High School student Sweety Kalbesang is the Palau Youth representative, having won this year’s oratorical speech contest.
The 3-day Conference is a means for youth and youth service providers throughout Micronesia to get together and participate in workshops and share vital information related to supporting youth and youth programs.Participants from Guam, CNMI, Palau, Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of the Marshall Islands, Hawaii, Mainland and Fiji are involved in the conference.There are 200 participants from all over the region attending the conference being held at the World Resort in Susupe, Saipan. The awards went to former Vice President Elias Camsek Chin, Shell Palau, and Koror State Government. The three were recognized for their continued support for the youth of Palau.MYSN’s mission is to support, collaborate, coordinate, promote and strengthen youth programs and services throughout Micronesia. Palau hosted the 2007 MYSN Conference. Next year’s conference will be held in Pohnpei, FSM.
