In the presidential race former Sen. Surangel Whipps Jr. won, garnering 5,699 votes while his opponent, Vice President Raynold Oilouch, received 4,351 votes.
In the vice presidential race, Sen. Jerrlyn Senior was the victor with 5,112 votes while her opponent, Sen. Frank Kyota, got 4,671 votes.
In the senatorial elections, the winners are Mason Whipps who garnered 7,099 votes, Steven Kuartei, Andrew Tabelual, Mark Rudimch, Rukebai Inabo, Hokkons Baules, K. Topps Sungino, TJ Remengesau, Umiich Sengebau, Jonathan Isechal, Kerai Mariur, Cecilia Elbedechel and Regis Akitaya.
There are six new faces in the incoming Senate with seven of the incumbents winning reelection.
In the House of Delegates elections, most of the incumbents kept their seats including Speaker Sabino Anastacio.
The election winners will be inaugurated on Jan. 21, 2021.
According to the election commission, 10,204 of Palau’s 16,754 total registered voters cast their ballots in this year’s general elections.
