The ten certified security screening officers are Hernando Iyar, Lester Nagata, Gerald Ringang Jr., Jewel Ngiraikelau, Ambrosio Ongklungel, Rene Mitsuru, Loloma Roberts, Dreng Akiwo, Miyako Nakasone and Milanie Dilig.
The screening officers completed Basic Aviation Security Screeners Course from December through April 2009.From December 15, 2009 through January 2, 2009 they underwent theoretical training and from January 5 through April 5, 2009, they underwent On-the-Job Training.Belau Airport Security Company has also five new instructors who were also certified by the PNAA.They were Alfonso Ngiraiwet, Victor Kumangai Jr., Carolyn Nakamura Takada, Jill Nakamura Iyar and Sherry Nakamura Ulengchong.The instructors completed eleven days of Aviation Security Instructors Course in December.A brief ceremony was held on Tuesday morning for the awarding of the Aviation Security Screener credentials and the certification badges to the newly certified personnel.BASCO President and CEO former Palau President Kuniwo Nakamura, BASCO Chief Alfonso Ngiraiwet, BASCO Deputy Chief Columbus Sakuma, Charles Obichang, Director of the Bureau of Aviation, Ministry of Public Infrastructure, Industries and Commerce and Jose Ise, Administrator of Palau National Aviation Administration attended the ceremony.The training was conducted by Manila Civil Aviation Training Center.
