Palau says no to naturalization of adopted child

The residents have spoken clearly as showed in their ballots in which no got higher votes than yes in all ten states.

In Kayangel, 57percent of the residents voted no to the 13th proposed amendment while only 43percent voted yes.

In Ngarechlong, 54 percent voted no while 46 percent voted yes, same with Ngaraard 53 percent voted no and 47 voted yes.

In Ngiwal, 53 percent of the residents voted yes while 47 percent voted no but in Melekeok, no prevailed again with 61percent while yes got 39percent.

In Ngardmau no prevailed with52 percent while yes got 48percent, Ngaremlengui no got 51percent and yes got 49 percent.

In Ngatpang, yes won when yes got 50.3 percent while no got 49.7percent.

In Aimeliik, no got 66percent while yes got 34percent. In Koror, no got 60percent while yes got 40percent.

No also won in Peleliu and Angaur with 68percent and 60 percent respectively. Yes got 34 and 40 percents respectively.

In Angaur, the 8th proposed amendments- To repeal term limit for OEK members also got higher votes of no than yes. 58percent of the residents voted no while 42percent voted yes to the proposed 8th amendment.

No also prevailed in Angaur when it comes to the 15th proposed amendment — foreign ownership of land for diplomatic purposes.

No got 54percent while yes got 46percent.

In Hatohobei, no also prevailed when it comes to 4th amendment which is to provide trial by jury. The no got 61 percent votes while yes got 39 percent votes.

In Sonsorol, Airai, Ngchesar and Ngiwal, majority of the residents voted yes to all proposed amendments.
