The crew will be in port to rest before they make preparation for the voyage back to Palau soon depending on the weather condition in the next few days. The Alingano Maisu will also make a brief stop in Ngulu before continuing on to their final destination.
The voyage is part of the non-instrument navigation program at Palau Community College, sponsored by Micronesian Voyaging Society which is led by Shalum Etpison.
The crew of the Alingano Maisu consists the original crew members from Yap, voyaging students from Palau Community College, two National Geography writer/photographers and others who flew in from Guam just in time of the departure of the canoe from Palau in the early part of April.
