Mr. Sadang presented to members of the BTA conservation programs that provides to sustainable eco-tourism development within the four eco-regions of the Northern Reefs, Babeldaob, Southern Lagoon and the Southwest Islands.PCS work with the states within these eco-regions developing capacity and knowledge about the environment that offers to the tourism industry.Some examples of small scale eco-tourism are the potential dive and snorkeling spots in the northern reefs; Visitors’ Center, floating dock and board walk in the wetlands of Ngardok Nature Reserve; kayak tours in Ngermeduu Bay and Ngeremlengui state; Ngermeskang Bird Sanctuary for Birders in Ngeremlengui; mooring buoys in the dive spots of Peleliu State to mention a few.
Mr. Sadang thanked the members of BTA for their continuing support.He extended the invitation to the members who are not contributing to join the Corporate Partners for Conservation (CPC) program.He announced to the group on behalf of the board of directors, PCS’ vision of “Healthy Ecosystems, Healthy Communities”, with the mission that strives to work with the communities, including BTA, to ensure the protection of the environment that sustains the people of Palau’s very livelihood including tourism which is the top revenue generating industry of Palau.PCS is a member of BTA.
