Perry Tenorio appointed Legislative Bureau director

SENATE President Jude U. Hofschneider and Speaker Edmund S. Villagomez have appointed Perry John P. Tenorio as the Legislative Bureau’s new director.

The LB’s fiscal analyst, Tenorio had been the acting director following the resignation of former Director Tony Sablan last year.

In their joint appointment letter, Hofschneider and Villagomez said pursuant to Article II, Section 17 of the CNMI Constitution, “the leaderships of the House and Senate of the 22nd Legislature hereby jointly appoint you to be the director of the Legislative Bureau, effective 20 April 2021.”

“We are confident that you will provide equitable services to all members of the Legislature. And we look forward to concerted and collaborative works within the Legislature,” the presiding officers told Tenorio.

Tenorio served as Marianas Visitors Authority managing director from 1998 to 2002, and from 2006 to 2016.
