Police ready for OBF and Independence Day

Patrol Division Chief Ismael Aguon said that they will be increasing manpower to ensure that everybody is safe at the celebration of OBF and Independence Day.

Aguon said police and the Task Force will be more aggressive and strict in enforcing the law against criminals and violators.Aguon added that BPS will designate parking areas and no parking areas during the said events.The main entrance of the PNOC and the old OEK will be closed and the designated entrance for the OBF event will be the post office and the Ngesekes.Motorists can use the sideways and the Asahi ball fields as parking areas.Police will also divert traffic during the parade which will start from old Koror State office in Idid all the way to downtown.Aguon said additional parking areas will be announced later.Aguon said no parking, standing or stopping at the KB Bridge at anytime during the Independence Day celebration.He went on saying that violators will be cited and vehicles will be towed away at the owner’s expense.Citation is valid for two days.A check point will also be conducted to ensure that everyone is in compliance during these two events.
