POW/MIA accounting mission arrives in Yap

The investigation team consists of eight members, two of whom paid a courtesy call to the  governor, among other government offices. Tamara Weese and Wendy Coble met with Gov. Sebastian L. Anefal and Lt. Gov. Tony Tare to brief them on the investigation operations mission 11-1FM.

The investigation team will mainly conduct interviews with potential witnesses, and locate, investigate and survey possible U.S. aircraft crash sites on the island from June 9 to 25. From June 26 to 27, the team will begin writing their report on the information found during the investigation, and on June 28 the team will present the required out-briefs to the Yap state government before the mission departs on June 29 for JPAC headquarters in Hawaii.
