PSS-Special Education Program holds end-of-school-year professional development session

(PSS) — The Public School System’s Special Education Program successfully conducted its end-of-school-year professional development on June 16, 2021 at Pacific Islands Club in partnership with the University of Guam’s Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, Education, Research, and Services or UOG-CEDDERS.

PSS-Special Education Director Donna Flores said the professional development, which was facilitated by UOG-CEDDERS acting director June De Leon, “focused on increasing  staff morale, and promoting a proactive school culture.”

It was one of the largest gatherings of PSS so far  this year. Among the participants were 175 special education staff, bus drivers, bus conductors, classroom teachers, teacher aides, related service and school administrators on Saipan, Tinian and Rota.

The event concluded with a self-care painting activity conducted by instructor Linda Torres.
