These five Legislature Resolutions Nos. 9-7, 9-8, 9-9,-10, and 9-11, reappointments of Charles Uong, Johnny Yaoch, Sebastian Andreas, John Wong and Tutoid Ngirlamau were adopted after the hearing and further review by the Committee on Judiciary and Governmental Affairs chair by Legislator Millan Isack.
Under the approved resolutions the five members of KSPC will continue to work for another three years from the adoption of this resolution.
On March 30 the five members expired their terms. The Legislature endorsed the reappointment of them for a term of three years.
The certified copies of these resolutions also transmitted to Governor Yositaka Adachi, Chairman of the House of Traditional Leaders Ibedul Yutaka M. Gibbons, KSL Speaker Eyos Rudimch, and the Koror State Planning Commission.
Meanwhile the proposed bill to authorize and appropriate five percent of the feescollected for Rock Island use permits and for Jellyfish Lake use permits to be deposited in a segregated account is still with the Committee of Ways and Means.
The proposed measure was transmitted to the said committee for conduct of a hearing and for further study.
Under the propose bill , the five percent of the fees collected each year for Rock Island use permits and Jellyfish Lake permits will be deposited into a reserve fund, to remain in the State treasury until authorized and appropriated by law.
This reserve fund will only be used for unforeseen contingencies, natural disasters or for other emergency purposes as determined by the law.
