Regular gasoline now $4.08 a gallon

From $3.98 a gallon, the regular gas price is now $4.08 a gallon. The premium gas price went up to $4.53 a gallon from $4.43 a gallon while diesel is now $4.26 a gallon from $4.16 a gallon.

“It’s now getting crazy,” said Brian Adelbai who drives from his home in Koblerville to his work in Garapan, Monday to Friday.

On weekends, he drives to the Dandan ball field to prepare for the reopening of  the softball season.

“So I spend $45 on gas in two weeks. Now that the price is over $4 a gallon, I think I’ll have to spend more,” he said. “I hope it’s not going to go up again soon,” he added, referring to the fuel prices.

U.S. media reports indicate that “optimism for the Covid-19 vaccine and hopes for the beginning of an economic recovery have helped push up gasoline prices…nationwide.”

In Los Angeles county, the average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline rose Saturday for the 20th time in the past 21 days, according to NBC.
