THE body of Daniel Martinez, who was born on April 12, 1955, and died on Dec. 8, 2021, remains unclaimed at the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation morgue, according to Thomas S. Palacios, manager of the CHCC-General Support Services.
Palacios is asking the next of kin and other family members of Martinez to come forward and identify and claim the remains of the deceased.
Martinez was a veteran, Palacios said, “but the Veteran Affairs office said they are not responsible to claim the remains.”
No other information about Martinez was available as of press time Wednesday.
According to Commonwealth Register, Volume 23, Number 09, Part 6.2: “Disposition of Abandoned Remains — the Chief Executive Officer of the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation will execute her authority to arrange for the interment of the…remains after two (2) weeks from the date of [a notice’s] publication.”
